As a part of the Skills Development Program, the Ministry of Education and Skills Development (MoESD) is pleased to announce the availability of the Sowa Rigpa & Wellness training at Faculty of Traditional Medicine, Thimphu funded under MoESD as detailed below:

Sowa-Rigpa” (Science of Healing) is one of the oldest, Living and well documented medical tradition of the world. It has been popularly practice in Tibet, Mongolia, Bhutan, some parts of China, Nepal, Himalayan regions of India and few parts of former Soviet Union etc. it plays a vital role in these contemporary world.
They will be trained in Sorig Yoga & Meditation, Sorig Massage, diet & behavior, Three Humors, Sorig Anatomy, first aid, Hygiene and sanitation, infection control, identification of medicinal plants & customer care among other important basic sowa rigpa courses.
In addition, after the completion of the course, all individuals are required to attend Basic Entrepreneurship Course which will be conducted for 2 weeks.
The selected participants shall be notified within 2 working days from the last date of application via phone/email along with the required documents and items to bring. The selection shall be based on FIRST-COME-FIRST basis and upon fulfilling the criteria specified above. Application should be accompanied with the marksheet of Class XII & above.
Stipend of Nu. 3500 per month will be provided for the entire duration of the course.
