The Youth Center Division, Department of Youth and Sports, Ministry of Education will be organizing an interactive forum for the Members of Parliament and youth from 30-31 March 2016 at Harmony: the Centenary Youth Village. The main objective of conducting this interaction is to facilitate the exchange of ideas and concerns between the Members of Parliament and youth so that more realistic policies/plans can be developed and implemented. On 30th March 2016, a preliminary consultative workshop will be held with youth to discuss their concerns/needs and identify issues that need to be discussed with the Members of Parliament. Since the national policies are discussed and endorsed in the parliament, it is felt important to bring together the policy-makers and youth so that well-informed decisions can be made in the parliament in the future when it comes to youth-related policies. Moreover, engaging youth in such a dialog would also enable them to understand better what policy-makers think about them and how much they can help them address their needs. So, it is hoped that the participants would be able to gain a lot of new ideas and knowledge from the dialog. The members of Women, Children and Youth Committee will be invited to interact with youth.
Therefore, all interested youth are invited to register for the program. We are taking only 60 youth. So please hurry up.
For details and registration, you may contact Tandin, Asst. program Officer of Youth Center Division at 328098 during office hours.
