Asian Pacific Children’s Convention (APCC) Mission Project 2016 Thimphu, Bhutan
The Scouts & Culture Education Division, Department of Youth & Sports, Ministry of Education in collaboration with Asian Pacific Children Convention (APCC), Fukuoka, Japan, will be hosting a Mission Project 2016 at Thimphu from 26- 31 March, 2016. Through this project, youth exchange program involving both Bhutanese and Japanese children have been taking place since 1989. The objectives of the Mission Project are to:
Promote further Cross Country Exchange among the Bhutanese and Japanese Children
Enhance children to understand each other’s culture and tradition
Foster friendship and strengthen the network among Bhutanese and Japanese children
Fifteen Junior Ambassadors (Children) from Japan with ages ranging from 10-17 years and three Chaperons (Leaders) will be visiting Bhutan from 26th -31st March, 2016 and one of the main activities during their stay in Bhutan is to have a home stay where the Japanese children will stay with the Bhutanese family and experience Bhutanese family life. In this regard, the following Bhutanese families with much enthusiasm and kindness have volunteered to host the Japanese Junior Ambassadors in their homes.
