Basic
Functions of National Commission

Advisory: -
Advise the partners on ways of dealing with UNESCO, channels of contact,
procedures, principles, regulations, etc.

Liaison: -
Liaison between the national authorities and UNESCO, Information: -
Promote UNESCO’s ideals & programmes and disseminate information on the
Organization’s activities.

Participation:- in cooperation with the Secretariat at and away from
Headquarters, in the program elaboration, execution and evaluation of
UNESCO program
-
To foster and develop relations with other National
Commissions for UNESCO, particularly with those in the region and to
participate with them in joint programmes and studies on matters of
interest to UNESCO and royal government and to initiate other activities
of interest to the country.

To further establish co-operation with other National
Commissions by way of participations in International activities.
