UNESCO supports capacity building for Diagnostic Assessment in BhutanThe capacity building workshop for Diagnostic Assessment to identify and mitigate learning gaps particularly those encountered during the COVID-19 pandemic has been completed. As part of this effort, UNESCO Bangkok and UNESCO Delhi organized a training workshop to support Bhutan’s education systems to build national capacity for diagnostic assessments and develop practical guidelines and tools for teachers to identify students’ learning needs and mitigate the learning gaps.
A total of 10 curriculum developers from the School Curriculum Division and 2 lecturers each from Paro College of Education and Samtse College of Education attended the capacity building workshop from 10-15 April 2023.
The workshop will help in producing a national guide to support teachers in assessing learning gaps and losses through diagnostic assessment and strengthen the capacity of national experts to guide and support teachers on diagnostic assessment and differentiated learning.
